Happy World Down Syndrome Day!
The World Health Organization acknowledges March 21 as World Down Syndrome Day. The United Nations supports WHO’s acknowledgement of March 21 and also recognizes this date as World Down Syndrome Day.
As some of you know, my daughter Sofía (17 yrs old) has double diagnosis of Down syndrome and Autism. I wanted to share with you a poem that I wrote celebrating this important day. Feel free to share with your students.
