Helping our students overcome racist views in the Spanish classroom

Have you ever been asked by a student why they have to learn Spanish in a country where English is spoken? Have you ever heard your students speak negatively about immigrants to the United States? Can we consider these attitudes as racist?

In this webinar I talk about my own experiences as an immigrant teacher. I present ideas, strategies, and specific activities to help our students understand, appreciate, enjoy, and respect those members of their community who are of Hispanic origin.

I hope this webinar will be very useful to you. Please give me credit if you decide to share my views or ideas during a conference, presentation or publication. Unfortunately we are living in a world in which many people take advantage of these types of free presentations, to copy ideas and profit from them. My email is Diego@SrOjeda.com
