A ROOSEVELT: Análisis interno Parte 1

This poem by Rubén Darío from Nicaragua, is probably one of the most difficult and dense poems in the AP Spanish Literature and Culture list of readings.  The poem is full of historical and mythical allusions.  This poem is about the intervention of the United States in Latinameca lead by Theodore Roosevelt.

The internal analysis starts close to minute 8.  I want to call your attention to my introduction.  Sometimes we leave this first approach to the textbook or to a video, but nothing connects better with our students than us talking about what is coming next. Hope this is helpful for you and your students.

As always, questions and kind comments are welcome. You can always connect with me via email to diego@srojeda.com
