Dear colleagues and friends. It´s with great joy that I would like to introduce you to an amazing project that will for sure help your studets´Spanish language acqusition. This project is lead by Mafe Torres, an amazing Spanish teacher in Cincinnatti. I met Mafe three years ago when she came to attend a workshop with Tina Hargaden and Ben Slavic that my WL department hosted at our school
Mafe and I connected immediately as we share a passion for Spanish language acquisition and for working with youngsters.
Español con Mafe is a YouTube channel that promotes diversity, inclusion and equity in society through Spanish classrooms – through materials such as authentic talks with Spanish-speaking people. These people let us know a piece of their life while helping us understand that although each human being is unique and all Spanish-speakers are different, the same humanity still unites us.
