USING WORD GAMES DURING REMOTE INSTRUCTION

Now that remote instruction is a reality for pretty much half of the world, I wanted to share with all my colleagues these word activities/games that I have benn using for a while duiring my live, in person classes.

I have chosen those activities/games that can be adapted to the online format. You might want to use a shared Google Doc with your students where they can write their answers, or you can simply use the chat feature of your remote distance tool. Some activities will even allow for students to answer verbally.

These activities can be playes individually or in groups. I recommned you split the class in groups of 4 or 5 students. Do not offer extra credit or any kind of award, help them understand that you are doing these activities/games because is a good way to keep the T2 present in a fun and engaging way.

Please let me know if you have any questions. This is the video of a live FREE webinar that I presented yesterday, 3-29-20. Thank you to all the teachers who participated

I will be offering a second webinar with more activities/games soon.

Stay tuned and please share thei with those colleagues you think will benefit from these ideas.

  1. Thank you so much for this post. I missed the webinar yesterday. The video says that it’s private. Can you make it public? I’d really like to watch it.
