Dear friends. Today I want to share with you a new project, a new dream, but first I will tell you the story behind it.
As you know I have a YouTube channel “HERE” where I upload videos of my talks, webinars and some of my classes. This channel is widely used by spanish teachers and students. I could say that it was a normal channel until a couple of months ago when one of the videos, in which I teach the song “Friends” to a group of my students, went viral. With more than half a million views, this video “HERE” became very popular among many young Latin Americans who, in addition to being interested in learning languages, also wanted to see how Spanish is taught in the United States.
After the views and the likes, the comments began. In these comments (very kind by the way) the audience asked me to start teaching English with the same methodology that I use in the video to teach Spanish. At the beginning I had fun reading these requests but it was only when they multiplied and became almost pleas that I seriously thought about the possibility of helping these kids who for the most part have not had good experiences in language classes.
This is how my new project was born: Inglés sin Dolor “HERE” . I know that perhaps none of those who are reading this right now have any interest in learning English, since they already speak it well, but I wanted to share this story and this project since it may be useful to other language teachers to see the methodology I use in the videos.
