Greetings colegas and amigos! If you are familiar with my blog posts, you probably know well by now that I believe in scaffolding everything in the World Language class, no matter the topic.
In this post I’m showing you how I introduce the AP Cultural Comparison activity to my students. It was only since I started really scaffolding this exercise until the majority of students felt comfortable with it. In the past I used to focus on finding every single piece of cultural information, I was focusing more in the “what” than in the #how”. As a result my students were overwhelmed, nervous and not looking forward to this part of the AP exam. If we scaffold properly the students will gain confidence in the format and will be able to focus on delivery during the exam.
You can access HERE the Cultural Comparison sample I use during the video. As always questions and kind comments are welcome. If you think this is helpful to you and your students, I would really appreciate it if you share this with your colleagues via social media. We must support and help each other.
