Comprehensible Grammar

Dear friends, today I´m talking about the dreaded grammar!  In the video I explain my journey through teaching grammar and how it evolved to something I call Comprehensible Grammar.  I honestly think that grammar is not the enemy, that we are our worst enemies when we close the door to other possibilities and this doesn´t help our students.  We must be open minded and holistic in every teaching experience.

I hope you find my video interesting and helpful.  Please let me know if you have any questions.  Kind comments are encouraged and welcome.  Hope you all are having a great school year.

Here is the video:

  1. Great advise. I’m doing my best to teach grammar like this right now virtually. It’s definitely more interesting but the kids really need to be engaged, which I’m finding hard to get with cameras turned off. But thanks for your comments. I’ll keep trying!
