AN ACTIVITY TO PRACTICE AFF AND NEG ¨TÚ¨COMMANDS

I wanted to share the template of a very simple activity that I will use with my students to reinforce Affirmative and Negative ¨Tú¨commands use.
I call this type of activities ¨mini projects¨, they are to be done in groups of 2 or 3 students in a time frame of less than 20-25 minutes. If they need to present their projects to the class, I assign preparing them as homework to be presented the following class.

The main idea is always to use grammar in context. When it comes to grammar practice, I avoid any type of worksheet, better known as ¨busy work¨by our students. Putting the grammar to work in activities that are relevant and compelling to our students help them to acquire a particular use in a more natural way.

I always encourage my students to use real pictures. If you are allowed to let your studnets go outside of the classroom during thei type of projects, I highly recommend you ask them to use their phones for taking pictures that they will include in their presentations, like in one of my previous shared projects about working with Affirmative Commands that you can find HERE.
